Nestled on the picturesque island of Corfu, Marina Gouvia stands as a beacon for yachting enthusiasts, offering a harmonious blend of modern amenities and rich maritime heritage. As Greece’s first privately owned marina, it has evolved into a pivotal hub for sailors navigating the Ionian Sea and beyond.
Extensive Berthing Capacity: Marina Gouvia boasts approximately 1,235 berths, accommodating vessels up to 80 meters in length with a maximum draft of 5.5 meters. Additionally, it offers dry dock facilities for around 520 boats, ensuring ample space for both mooring and maintenance.
Comprehensive Technical Services: The marina is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including two travel lifts (75 and 65 tons), mobile cranes (60 and 45 tons), a 2-ton jib crane, and a 50-ton boat transportation vehicle. These, coupled with hull pressure washing and cleaning services, ensure vessels receive top-notch care.
Modern Amenities: Guests can enjoy 24-hour water and electricity supply, high-speed wireless internet, fueling services, and secure storage options. The marina also features a range of shops, restaurants, cafes, and bars, enhancing the overall yachting experience.
Strategic Location: Situated just 6 kilometers from Corfu Town and 7 kilometers from the International Airport, Marina Gouvia offers easy access to the island’s cultural attractions and transportation hubs.
Rich Historical Significance: Adjacent to the marina lies the Venetian arsenal, a testament to Corfu’s storied maritime past. These well-preserved shipyard ruins from the 18th century offer a unique glimpse into the island’s historical significance in naval operations.
